At 18 years of age, Pradityo Soekarno began aikido training at Bulungan Aikido Dojo. During college, he trained with several senior aikido practitioners there. One of his early teachers was Satoru Shigekoshi who then held the rank of Go Dan, 5th degree black belt, at the time assigned by Japan International Cooperation Agency. To learn the basics of the modern martial art, he also visited and joined classes at other dojos, such as PTIK Aikido Club and Financial Aikido Club.
In 2004, he started to train intensively under the instruction of Patrick Ponsoda Sensei, 5th Dan, from France. Patrick Ponsoda Sensei’s aikido lines descended from Nobuyoshi Tamura Shihan (8th Dan, 1933-2010) and T. K. Chiba Shihan (8th Dan). Besides apprenticing to Patrick Ponsoda Sensei, in the late 2006, he had also been practicing with Toshimichi Aoki Sensei who was then a 5th degree black belt aikido practitioner. After 9 intensive years of training, Pradityo earned his 1st Dan in early 2007 certified by Aikikai Foundation, Aikido World Headquarters, with Hiroyuki Namba Shidoin (5th Dan) as his examiner.
Since 2007, he has been following Donovan Waite Shihan’s (7th Dan) instruction through routine seminars in Jakarta and apprenticing with Toshiaki Nakamoto Sensei (5th Dan) for Ki exercise regularly. By early 2009, he obtained 2nd Dan from Hiroshi Fujimaki Shihan (6th Dan) of Hombu Dojo in an annual yudansha grading examination. In October 2014 he received his 3rd Dan from Yoshinobu Irie Shihan. Currently, he is an instructor at Bulungan Aikido Dojo and in charge of Lotus Aikido Dojo.

Merdi A. Murti has started to train aikido since 1996 at Bulungan Aikido Dojo, where he trained under the supervision of Atsushi Yahagi (3rd Dan). In 1998, he moved to Bandung in order to continue his study at university. During his time in college, he trained with Rudy Wijaya (3rd Dan) and he shared his knowledge of aikido to the members of Parahyangan University Aikido club. After he graduated in 2003, he returned to Jakarta and went back to train at Bulungan Aikido Dojo.
He received his 1st Dan in 2002 from Koichi Toriumi Shihan (6th Dan). In 2005, Sugawara Shigeru Shihan (6th Dan) examined his 2nd Dan grading test and he passed successfully. He earned his 3rd Dan with Yoshinobu Irie Shihan (6th Dan) of Hombu Dojo as his examiner in October 2012. After more than 20 years of training, he received his 4th Dan after examined by Hiroshi Fujimaki Shihan (6th Dan).
In 2013, International Aikido Federation (IAF) appointed Albertus Nugroho (4th Dan) and him to represent Aikido from Indonesia in the World Combat Games 2013 in St. Petersburg, Russia.
Currently, he is the chairman of Bulungan Aikido Dojo.

Alfa Brillian is one of the early students of Bulungan Aikido Dojo. He started his training in 1997. Back then, he learned the art of peace and harmony under the guidance of Bawor Prayitno as his senior and Atsushi Yahagi as his first teacher. By 1999, he trained with Satoru Shigekoshi Sensei for 2 years.
In the early of 2003, Alfa started to train with Patrick Ponsoda Sensei. He has perfected his techniques with his French teacher ever since. In addition, he also attended international seminars of Seichi Sugano Shihan (8th Dan of New York Aikikai), Joe Thambu Sensei (6th Dan of Yoshinkan Aikido), and Donovan Waite Shihan (7th Dan of New York Aikikai). Alfa received his 2nd degree black belt from Yoshinobu Irie Shihan (6th Dan) of Hombu Dojo in October 2012.
