Alfa Brillian is one of the early students of Bulungan Aikido Dojo. He started his training in 1997. Back then, he learned the art of peace and harmony under the guidance of Bawor Prayitno as his senior and Atsushi Yahagi as his first teacher. By 1999, he trained with Satoru Shigekoshi Sensei for 2 years.

In the early of 2003, Alfa started to train with Patrick Ponsoda Sensei. He has perfected his techniques with his French teacher ever since. In addition, he also attended international seminars of Seichi Sugano Shihan (8th Dan of New York Aikikai), Joe Thambu Sensei (6th Dan of Yoshinkan Aikido), and Donovan Waite Shihan (7th Dan of New York Aikikai). Now, he is one of Bulungan Aikido Dojo most anticipated instructors, especially for weapon class.
